Days Until Calculator

Choose a date to see how many days are left.

What is a days until calculator?

A days until calculator tells you how many days remain before an important date, such as Eid, a wedding, a trip, an exam or a birthday. If the date has already passed, it shows how many days ago it was.

It also shows the gap in weeks and hours, and it remembers the last event you entered on this device so you can come back to it.

How the countdown is worked out

The tool counts whole calendar days from today to the date you choose. For example, from 15 October 2026 to 25 December 2026 is 71 days, which is 10 weeks and 1 day. Hours are shown as days multiplied by 24, so they are an approximation.

Counting days is a good way to plan. If an exam is 40 days away and you have 8 chapters to revise, you can give each chapter about 5 days and keep a few days spare for revision.

Planning with a countdown

A visible countdown turns a distant date into a daily reminder. Students can divide the remaining days by the number of chapters to make a study plan. Travellers can set milestones such as booking tickets, renewing documents and packing. Families planning an event can list tasks against the days left. Because the tool remembers your last date on this device, you can open it each morning and watch the number drop. Tracking time left often helps people start earlier instead of rushing at the last minute.

How to use it

  1. Type a name for your event. It is optional.
  2. Choose the date.
  3. Press Count days.
  4. Read the days, weeks and hours left. Open the page again later to see the updated count.
